Best for: Fair bonus terms

StakeUS is a US sweepstakes casino, not a real-money one: players use Gold Coins for fun and Stake Cash, which redeems for prizes at 1 SC to $1 after just 3x playthrough. The free entry route is generous, with 25 SC at sign-up and 1 SC a day, but compulsory ID and selfie checks, one redemption per 24 hours and a business model under legal challenge weigh on the score.

Who is behind StakeUS: a sweepstakes model, a Cypriot operator and US lawsuits

StakeUS holds no casino licence. It runs as a US sweepstakes and social casino under the “No Purchase Necessary” principle: Gold Coins have no monetary value, while Stake Cash is a promotional currency that can be redeemed for prizes. That model is what allows it to operate without real-money gambling approval, and it is also what state legislators and plaintiffs are now challenging.

The terms name the operator as Sweepsteaks Limited, a Cypriot company registered on 6 July 2022 under number HE 436222, with its office at 7 Patrikiou Loumoumba, Perivolia, Larnaka. Postal requests for free Stake Cash go to a separate address in Dallas, Texas. The ultimate owner is the Melbourne-based Easygo group of Ed Craven and Bijan Tehrani, which also stands behind the global Stake.com; the two sites are legally separate companies with different products.

Eligibility is narrow. The terms admit residents of the continental United States and Hawaii aged 21 or over, minus 22 excluded states: Washington, New York, Nevada, Idaho, Kentucky, Michigan, Vermont, New Jersey, Delaware, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Maryland, Louisiana, Montana, Arizona, Tennessee, California, Illinois, Indiana and Maine. That leaves roughly 28 to 30 states, and the list keeps shrinking: StakeUS left California on 30 December 2025, two days before a state ban took effect, switching accounts there to “Redeem Only” mode with balances kept. Illinois followed in May 2026 after a cease-and-desist letter from the Illinois Gaming Board, and Indiana and Maine were added during 2026. Outside the US the site is unavailable.

Legal pressure is growing. Civil lawsuits were filed in Missouri and New Mexico in October 2025, in Virginia in December 2025 and in New Jersey in April 2026, naming Sweepsteaks, the streamers Drake and Adin Ross and, in New Jersey, other promoters. In November 2025 California itself sued Sweepsteaks, the streaming platform Kick and several vendors, calling them an illegal online gambling network. These are civil allegations, unresolved and denied by the operator.

The terms themselves contain several clauses with a direct cost:

  • Disputes go to individual arbitration with the American Arbitration Association under Delaware law; class actions are waived, and claims up to $25,000 are decided on documents alone. Opting out requires written notice within 30 days of opening the account.
  • Using a VPN, proxy or other means to hide location leads to suspension or deactivation, and playing from an excluded state breaches the terms.
  • Closing an account forfeits all Gold Coins, Stake Cash and unredeemed prizes.
  • Stake can deactivate an account it considers inactive, without a stated period.
  • Players in Florida face a redemption cap of $5,000 a day.

Player sentiment is strong. On Trustpilot, StakeUS scores 4.4/5 from 18,607 reviews, 76% of them five-star and 8% one-star. Reviewers praise quick redemptions, game variety and VIP perks. The negative minority describes keno results that felt unfair, sign-up bonuses that never arrived and problems logging in or buying with a card, and the company invites reviews but does not answer the negative ones.

Redeeming Stake Cash: approval times, limits and ID checks

Only Stake Cash can be turned into prizes, at a fixed rate of 1 SC to $1; Gold Coins never can. A redemption request typically takes about 24 hours to approve, after which crypto arrives within minutes to a few hours. The terms allow one redemption request per account every 24 hours, and large prizes can be paid in instalments over several days. Requests above roughly 5,000 SC go through extended review.

The minimum redemption falls between 5 and 50 SC, and for crypto it moves with the coin’s price. Crypto prizes are paid in the same coin used to buy Gold Coins, so a player who purchased with USDT receives USDT. Crypto is the main redemption route, although the terms also allow fiat payouts, and Stake reserves the right to charge a redemption fee.

Every Stake Cash balance must be played through three times before it can be redeemed. The full 25 SC sign-up balance therefore has to cycle through play three times, and anything lost along the way reduces the amount that reaches the redemption page.

Identity checks are compulsory. The terms require full name, date of birth, address and email, plus a copy of government ID and proof of address, and verification must be complete before any redemption. Checks run through Veriff with a photo ID and a selfie, sometimes with an address document. Documents not provided within 30 days of a request lead to restrictions or deactivation, which can lock a Stake Cash balance in place.

Finish Veriff first. The sign-up coins are only credited after verification, and no prize leaves the account without it, so completing the check on day one removes the main source of redemption delays.

Free coins and a 3x playthrough instead of a deposit bonus

StakeUS has no deposit match because it takes no deposits. New players receive 250,000 Gold Coins and 25 Stake Cash for registering and passing verification, credited within 48 hours of approval; the code STAKEPLAY applies until 31 October 2026. A daily login adds 10,000 GC and 1 SC on a rolling 30-day cycle, and missed days do not carry over.

The only condition attached to Stake Cash is the 3x playthrough. Deposit bonuses at real-money casinos typically need turnover of dozens of times the bonus, so a threefold requirement is light by comparison and the strongest part of the StakeUS terms.

Worked example: A new player collects 25 SC at sign-up and 1 SC on each of 30 daily logins, for 55 SC. At 3x playthrough that balance needs 55 × 3 = 165 SC of play before redemption. If the balance holds at 50 SC after play, it redeems for $50 at 1 SC to $1, provided it clears the minimum.

Free Stake Cash also comes through a postal request, the “alternative method of entry” required by sweepstakes rules, and through promotional drops: codes posted on Telegram and social media, bonus drops on site, daily races and a weekly raffle. Buying Gold Coins is never required. When a player does buy, packages include free Stake Cash on top, but there is no separate discounted first purchase.

The terms set no expiry date for Stake Cash, which works in the player’s favour. The free coins still carry a cost in time: collecting 30 daily logins is the main way to build a meaningful balance without buying.

Buying Gold Coins with cards or crypto

Gold Coins are bought in packages, never deposited. The entry package costs about $20 and contains 200,000 GC plus 20 SC as a free extra. Purchases are capped at $300 per transaction and $9,000 per day, a ceiling that also limits how quickly a player can spend.

Only the Stake Cash in a package has prize value. The 20 SC that comes free with the $20 package is worth $20 at the redemption rate, but only after it has been played through three times, and the 200,000 Gold Coins can never be redeemed. In practice, a purchase buys entertainment credit plus a sweepstakes entry, and the outcome of the Stake Cash play decides whether anything comes back.

Cards work for purchases: Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover, processed by Breeze. Crypto options include BTC, ETH, LTC, XRP, TRX, DOGE, ADA, SOL and EOS, along with the stablecoins USDT, USDC and DAI. Paying in a stablecoin keeps the value of any later redemption steady, since prizes return in the same coin; a BTC purchase redeemed weeks later carries the price swing in between.

Because crypto prizes go back to the coin used for the purchase, a player who buys by card and later wants a crypto redemption needs to check which routes the redemption page offers. Blockchain transfers cannot be reversed once sent, so the receiving wallet address and network have to be right first time.

2,000+ titles, 31 Originals and new live tables

The library holds between 2,000 and 3,700+ games from more than 40 studios. Pragmatic Play, Hacksaw Gaming, Nolimit City, Big Time Gaming, Playson, NetEnt, Red Tiger, BGaming, 3 Oaks and Booming Games supply slots, joined by Twist Gaming, Massive Studios, Titan Gaming, Paperclip Gaming, OneTouch, Sidequest Studios, Play and Chill and Gaming Corps. There are 26 table games, between 10 and 15 scratch cards, a poker section and a set of exclusive titles. Every game can be played with Gold Coins for fun or with Stake Cash for prize eligibility.

Live dealers arrived in 2026. Evolution supplies game shows such as Crazy Time and Mega Ball, ICONIC21 runs Gravity Blackjack and Gravity Roulette, and Animo Studios adds Sky and City Roulette, for roughly 30 to 50 live tables. There is no sportsbook, unlike Stake.com.

The 31 Stake Originals, including Plinko, Mines, Dice, Crash, Limbo, Chicken, Dragon Tower, Keno and Packs, are provably fair. Each result is fixed by a hashed server seed before play and can be recomputed with the player’s client seed after the seed changes. That check answers some of the fairness complaints about keno: a player who doubts a result can verify it independently.

Round-the-clock chat, no phone line

Live chat runs 24/7, with replies typically within about five minutes, and email and a help centre cover longer questions. Social channels carry announcements and promotional codes. The on-site community chat is run by players, not support staff, so account problems belong in live chat or email. There is no phone line.

For a delayed redemption, give support the request time, amount in Stake Cash, coin and wallet address, and save the transcript in case the matter later goes to arbitration, where claims up to $25,000 are decided on documents.

The responsible gaming page offers breaks, self-exclusion, a self-assessment test, a budget calculator and links to help organisations. Combined with the $9,000 daily purchase cap, these tools give some control over spending, though breaks and exclusion are the only hard stops.

An iOS app and a mobile site, but no Android app

StakeUS offers a native iOS app alongside a mobile-responsive website. Android users have no app in Google Play and play through the browser, which carries the same games, Originals and live tables. Two-factor authentication and an account vault protect the balance, and switching on two-factor before using a phone guards against a lost or stolen device.

Rakeback from Bronze and a host from Platinum IV

The VIP club rises from Bronze through Silver, Gold and Platinum to Diamond and above, with levels unlocked by total play. Rakeback of 3.5% starts at Bronze, reloads open at Platinum and a personal VIP host is assigned from Platinum IV. Weekly, monthly and level-up bonuses run throughout, while monthly and birthday bonuses, faster redemptions and priority support come at the top.

Daily races and a weekly raffle sit alongside the club, and Trustpilot reviewers single out VIP perks among the strengths. As with any loyalty ladder, the rewards grow with volume, so a player using only the free daily coins will stay at the lower levels.

Who StakeUS sweepstakes play suits, and who it frustrates

A good fit for

  • Players who want to try prize play without paying, since sign-up brings 250,000 GC and 25 SC, plus 1 SC for each daily login.
  • Anyone put off by heavy rollover, as Stake Cash needs only 3x playthrough before it can be redeemed at 1 SC to $1.
  • Players who want to check results personally, because all 31 Stake Originals, from Plinko and Mines to Keno, are provably fair.
  • Crypto holders who want prizes back in the same coin, with approval in about 24 hours and crypto typically landing within hours after that.

Better to look elsewhere if

  • Players who want to stay anonymous, because photo ID, proof of address and a selfie through Veriff are required before any redemption.
  • Anyone looking for real-money betting or a sportsbook, since only Stake Cash has prize value and there is no sports betting at all.
  • Players who like frequent cash-outs, since one redemption request is accepted every 24 hours and sums above roughly 5,000 SC face extended review.
  • Anyone who wants to keep the option of a class action, as disputes go to individual arbitration and class claims are waived.

Other casinos worth comparing

  • Yeet — a younger crypto casino with a publicly named founding team and venture backing.
  • Gamdom — opens with a week of instant rakeback free of wagering in place of a deposit match.
  • 96 Casino — unusually visible for an offshore crypto brand thanks to an English football shirt deal.
  • FortuneJack — one of the oldest crypto casinos, still trading under its original name and domain.

StakeUS: short answers on terms and safety

Is StakeUS licensed, and who operates it?

No casino licence is involved: StakeUS works as a sweepstakes site where no purchase is necessary. Sweepsteaks Limited of Larnaka, Cyprus, runs it, owned by the Easygo group behind Stake.com. Delaware law and individual arbitration apply, 22 states are excluded, and several civil suits plus a California state action remain open, all denied by the company.

How does StakeUS differ from Stake.com?

Stake.com is a real-money crypto casino with a sportsbook; StakeUS is a separate sweepstakes product for US residents aged 21 and over. Instead of deposits and withdrawals, it sells Gold Coin packages and lets Stake Cash be redeemed for prizes at 1 SC to $1. There is no sports betting, and play from outside eligible states is barred.

How long does a StakeUS redemption take?

Plan for about a day of approval, then minutes to a few hours for crypto to land. Only one request is accepted per 24 hours, sums above roughly 5,000 SC face a longer review, and big prizes can arrive in instalments. Stake Cash must first be played three times, and the account must have passed Veriff.

What free coins does StakeUS give new players?

Registration plus verification brings 250,000 Gold Coins and 25 Stake Cash within 48 hours of approval. Logging in daily adds 10,000 GC and 1 SC for 30 days, though skipped days are lost. Free entries by post, social-media drop codes, races and a weekly raffle add more, and none of it requires buying a package.

Can I buy Gold Coins with a card at StakeUS?

Yes. Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover are accepted through the Breeze processor, along with crypto such as BTC, ETH, SOL, USDT and USDC. Packages start near $20, transactions stop at $300 each and spending at $9,000 per day. Prizes paid in crypto return in the coin you bought with.

Are StakeUS Originals provably fair?

Yes, all 31 of them, from Plinko and Mines to Crash and Keno. Before each round a hashed server seed fixes the outcome, and once that seed rotates you can recompute the round with your own client seed. Studio slots and the Evolution, ICONIC21 and Animo live tables rely on their providers instead.

Does StakeUS’s free Stake Cash outweigh its legal uncertainty?

For eligible players, mostly yes. StakeUS gives away 25 SC at sign-up and 1 SC a day, asks only 3x playthrough, redeems crypto prizes within hours of approval and backs it with 31 provably fair Originals and a strong Trustpilot record. The weak points are structural: a business model under legal challenge, a shrinking map of eligible locations and identity checks that rule out anonymous play.

StakeUS suits players aged 21+ in eligible states who are comfortable with full ID checks and want low-condition free play with prize redemption. Anyone outside the eligible area, unwilling to send ID and a selfie, or looking for real-money crypto betting should look at the alternatives above instead.
